Frequently Asked Questions
1. How much do you charge to design a website?

Websites vary widely in scope, complexity and design. Because of this, there is no set price as every site is different. After we've thoroughly discussed your site needs, we will give you a quote to complete the project. Assuming nothing changes with the deliverables, we will stick to that price. We always take your budget into consideration, and look for ways to save you money (such as modifying existing code whenever possible rather than writing custom code for programming jobs). We are not the cheapest but are well below most big design studios. To get an idea of our general fees, view our rate sheet

2. How long will it take for you to design my website?

Every project is different so we cannot give you a standard time period. An estimated completion date will be given to you on your design quote. We can tell you our range is this: For Business Pro Sites, the work takes about a week. Other types of sites range from 2-6 weeks. We do not start the design phase until the client has given us all their content (text for pages, images, logo, product info). So you can speed up the process by gathering together all your content before we begin.

3. Can you help me get a better search engine ranking?

We have a SEO (Search Engine Optimization) service. We will optimize your site up to 6 pages and train you how to do it in the future. The cost is $200.

4. Do you offer hosting?

We do not offer a web hosting service. We recommend our customers to Go Daddy. We have found their low price, abundant features and speedy customer service to be superior to many other hosting companies.

5. How can I see if a domain that I want is available?

Visit Go Daddy and in the top left hand corner input the domain name you are interested in. It can be difficult these days to get the domain you want. We strongly recommend that you do not use mispelled versions of the name (unless it's your real business name), don't use hypens and don't use .net or any other extension when what you really want is .com. Be creative, think outside the box and you can come up with a good alternative name (if your first choice is taken). If you are really stuck on your first choice, visit the domain. There is a chance that it was only bought to resell. You can contact the owner and make a bid. Contact us and we can tell you how to do this.

6. What forms of payment do you accept?

We are happy to accept cash, checks, Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Gold Medallions are good too. We ask for 1/2 of the design fees before we start the project, and the remainder is due upon completion of the project.

7. My webmaster went AWOL and left my site half done. Can you help me?

We're hearing that A LOT these days. Yes. We can help you with small or large jobs. Keep in mind that going back and cleaning up after a messy webmaster can be sometimes more time consuming that starting from scratch. Contact us to take a look at your project.

8. Where are you located? Can I come to your office?

We are located in sunny, smoggy Los Angeles. Our design company is made up of two designers and a programmer. We all work from home studios to keep the overhead low. Amy handles sales and design and you're welcome to come into her Silverlake home studio for your consultation, or she can come out to your office.
