Reed Lee
Reed Clayton Lee has been practicing law for 15 years and concentrating on free expression matters for well over ten years.

His free expression work has involved representation of clients ranging from political activists of widely varying points of view to those who produce and disseminate sexually oriented expression.

He has represented clients in both civil and criminal matters, and - in the civil cases - he has represented those seeking affirmative relief against threatened government action as well as those defending against proceedings the government has brought. In all free expression and related cases, though, he has represented the free speech claimants, that is, those who faced trouble with some government agency because of what they had to say or publish or what they wanted to read, see, or hear.

He has acted as defense counsel in criminal obscenity jury trials involving both live performances and videotapes.

He attended law school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and did his undergraduate work at the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Mr. Lee is an active member of the First Amendment Lawyers' Association and the Constitutional Law Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.

In connection with the defense of free expression, he has defended clients against condemnation of real property by government authority and has handled for them a wide array of commercial and corporate matters in litigation.

Reed Lee is admitted to the bar of the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeal for the Sixth, Seventh, and Ninth Circuits, and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, the Eastern District of Michigan, and the Northern District of Illinois. He is also admitted before the Illinois Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia.

Online Internet Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Speech in Expression, and Freedom of the Press are the foundation of a free society: To support the right of free expression of unpopular and repressed content is to assure the security of a free society; To ignore the repression of unpopular and repressed messages and to fail to work for its protection assures the eventual destruction of a free society and the Liberty which nourishes and preserves it. We believe that Internet Free Speech is the forward edge of the battle area in preserving Liberty in American Society. As Benjamin Franklin noted during the generation of the Founders, those that would sacrifice essential Liberty for temporary security deserve neither Liberty nor security.
